The Airplane Restaurant's centerpiece is a fully intact Boeing KC-97 tanker. Built in 1953, this magnificent airplane refueled aircraft worldwide. In May 2002, it began its second mission: to be the preeminent aviation restaurant in the United States.
I really enjoyed this restaurant. I went there for lunch. They were very accommodating in seating inside the airplane, which made this very extra special. The food was very good, and the staff was very attentive. Very pleased with them.
Super yummy food ! 10/10 recommend the Ruben sandwich the fries were unique but were also crispy and delicious! The wagyu beef was good as well. We sat in the airplane but the offer seating inside the restaurant as well! We got to be seated right away. And we even got to check out the cockpit. Waitress was kind as well!
The Airplane Restaurant in Colorado Springs is an absolute blast! The food portions were huge, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable for the amount of food you get. I had a great time exploring all the airplane trinkets around the restaurant, and getting to go into the cockpit was a fun and unique experience.The staff was incredibly friendly, and I loved how they dressed up as pilots it added to the fun, immersive atmosphere. Overall, it was a cool, memorable dining experience that I highly recommend for anyone in the area!
Husband And I were looking for unique things to do on the last day of our vacation and came across this restaurant. We are so glad we did. It was such a unique and fun experience and the food was great. Service was excellent too. They really make it all about the airplane experience.Kid-friendliness: Kids (including adult kids) have a blast sitting in the cockpit and playing with all the instruments! So much fun!
We got stuck in a blizzard and stayed at the Marriott by Colorado Springs Airport. We decided to try out the Airplane restaurant. It was great. It was like a museum. Lots of history. The menu had a lot of options. I had their famous pasta. Lots of meat in it. The portion was huge so I took it to work the next day. There are lots of areas to hang out besides the airplane seating. They have a bar and pool (like a sports bar). Managers were nice and so was the staff.I would come back with Family when they come into town.
